I learnt simple happiness during my time teaching first graders in a Nagarkot village school. They may have been dressed in worn-me-downs, playing with dirty old bicycle tires and sticks, but they were abundant with happiness. Happiness is so common, found in moments of friendship and love, and every photograph that I took on that trip captured their joy perfectly. It was not the photographer, it was not the camera, it was all about them and their beautiful spirit.
Since then, nothing else quite embodied the idea of happiness as much as the look on my students' faces :) Would love to travel to bhutan to witness these moments there too.
