He belongs to the Badjau tribe -- the most marginalised in the Moslem society. His family lives along the shores of the city of Iligan where human waste, garbage and the salty odor of the sea converge. But he sees beyond the scars on his face and the poverty of his life. He hopes for a better future. Probably, that is the very reason why a child, like him, can smile.
